Sondermind Website Redesign
Introducing the revamped SonderMind website. A meticulous undertaking that involved rejuvenating our voice, tone, colors, and style. This transformation was guided by our unwavering commitment to revolutionize mental and behavioral healthcare.
In reimagining our digital presence, we recognized the need to address deficiencies in the old website, particularly the absence of clear user flows tailored to key business audiences. The previous design failed to effectively convey our unique differentiators, leaving us sounding and looking indistinguishable from others in the field.
Our primary objective throughout this endeavor was to align every facet of the website—from content and visuals to messaging and user journeys—with our critical business goals in mind. By doing so, we aim to catalyze client growth through specific user actions, creating an engaging and purposeful online experience.
In addition to refining the user-facing elements, we conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the underlying technology that powers our site, ensuring seamless integration with our company's technological products. This strategic move positions us for future success and adaptability in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
As the Senior Design Manager, my responsibility during the website redesign was to craft a fresh layout. The challenge was to bring forth crucial information vibrantly while maintaining brand consistency. Delving into the subtle nuances of our core colors, I leaned into our tints. The full strength of our core colors seemed overpowering when used together, so leveraging the softened hues of the tints effectively brought a more refined and inviting touch to the pages.

I sought to integrate photography deliberately, utilizing it as a tool to enhance rather than dominate. The goal was to elicit authentic emotions and sensations, steering clear of clichés and overly staged visuals. The focus was on capturing the essence—zooming into expressions and conversations between individuals, allowing viewers to immerse themselves in the moment and become part of their world.
While the initial association often revolves around a person engaged with a laptop or phone—an understandable connection given the relevance to our product's use—we aspire to portray a more comprehensive view. Our aim is to delve into their experiences beyond the device, emphasizing the presence of SonderMind whenever support is required. If a device appears in a photo, let it not take center stage; instead, consider it an ancillary component, complementing the broader scene captured.
When integrating photography, I was mindful not to resort to the commonplace approach of full-bleed images, a practice overly employed by our competitors. Instead, my vision was to seamlessly weave our branded shapes into the fabric of the photography which you will see throughout the site.
